Summer Makeup and Skin Care
Sunscreen (wear all year)
Sunscreen designed for the lips (wear all year)
After-sun replenishing gel (aids in bringing moisture back to the skin after all day exposure to the sun)
Moisturizer (select according to your skin type)
Light-weight makeup foundation (mineral makeup works nicely all year, but especially during summer)

Sunscreen...before or after the moisturizer? Apply sunscreen before your moisturizer; allow it to dry completely, and then apply your moisturizer.
Because the sun's rays work 365 days a year, it is important to have sunscreen working on your behalf year round.
Sunscreen is one of the best defenses against premature aging, including dark spots and wrinkling of the skin. Although it may go unnoticed for several years, skin can suffer damage in as little as 10 minutes.
Sunscreen is available in different formulas for the body, eyes, and lips. Each one is developed slightly different from the other.
If you have a lovely complexion, skip the foundation in the summer and wear a tinted moisturizer instead.

To combat the effects of summer's heat and humidity, wear waterproof mascara. It won't bleed like regular mascara in the heat. Use one coat instead of two or wear clear mascara for a crisp and clean summer look.
If wearing waterproof mascara, have eye makeup remover on hand. Soap and water will not remove it completely, and you will lose eyelashes trying to forcefully remove it.
