How to Load a Powder Brush

It may seem simple enough, but when you first start using loose powder makeup, simply loading the powder brush can be a nightmare.  Too much powder and you have a mess on your face and everywhere else; it makes you want to give up and go back to your old makeup. 
 
This is how I felt the first time I used mineral powder foundation.  Once I got the knack of how to load the powder brush, I fell in love with loose powder makeup.  
 
Here is how I mastered loading my powder brush. 

Powder makeup

  1. Dip brush lightly in powder, then tap the tip of the handle on the rim of the powder container to remove some of the excess powder. 
  2. Gently swirl brush around in the lid of the powder container, pushing the powder up into the bristles.   
  3. Gently tap the tip of the handle on a hard surface before applying to your face.
  4. Begin application on the inside area of the face and move outward.
