We learned about shapes in grammar school. We recognize a square, oval, rectangle, diamond and circle. But when we try to determine the shape of our face, it gets confusing for most of us. Really, aren’t all faces round?
For most women, it’s confusing to look in the mirror and really tell what is the shape of their face. To me, most faces are oval or round, but there is more to the picture than “oval or round”.
Below is how to measure for, and then determine, the shape of your face.
-
Measure horizontally from across the top of your cheekbones from the end of one cheek bone to the other.
-
Starting at the widest point of your jaw line, measure horizontally from jaw line to jaw line.
-
Measure horizontally midway between the eyebrows and hairline, temple to temple.
-
Measure vertically from the top of your face at the hairline, to the center bottom of your chin.
